Speech of the Consul at Toronto Destination France 2017 event [fr]
Atout France hosted travel agents, industry partners and media at their annual Destination France event at Old Mill Toronto on March 1, 2017.

Consul General Marc Trouyet gave a speech and shared some insights on the latest figures and trends regarding tourism in France, which remains the number one destination for international tourists with 83 million visitors in 2016. He also explained that France has been making additional investments in promoting the country as a destination as well as upgrading facilities for welcoming tourists and increasing security.
Many regions were represented at Destination France 2017, with each given an opportunity to highlight their differences and diversity. The Consul general pointed out that more events related to specific regions were to be organized by Atout France in the Consulate’s constituency, and more generally in Canada.
